6000 Words - Learn Thai Language for Free App revisa

Not made by a native Thai speaker.

All the fruit/foods were Western ones. There was no papaya salad, no guava, no coconut, no drunken noodle, nothing... what use is learning just Western foods in an Asian country? (I’m half Thai)

Amazing!

It’s amazing for a upper beginner who needs practicing in writing and reading! Forcing thai script is really useful in getting familiar and working your brain to recognize it (that’s how I study other languages with non-roman scripts and it works 95% of the time)! I also love the vocabulary and how we can unlock levels. It really motivates me to keep going! I’ve learned lots of vocabulary just from the beginner level. I am definitely recommending this app among other apps to other learners! I wish I had this when I started learning Thai, it really makes it easy to construct a learning plan on your own (since Thai isn’t really a popular language taught where I’m from, so it’s hard to know where to start).

Needs transliteration

The quiz mode has no transliteration to the roman alphabet. Ihave run into this with most Thai language apps. A beginner is unlikely to learn the Thai alphabet first.

Good Language App

This is a good app for learning Thai, but I definitely have had to do a lot of outside work to learn thoroughly; particularly to learn the letters and what sounds they make as you do have to be able to read some in the games. The upside to this app is that it nudged me toward learning to read as well, which I wouldn’t have necessarily done on my own. It would definitely be 5 stars if the developers could add in some phonetic instruction as well. Also, I am learning from U.S. English, but the only option for English starting language was British English. It’s a small adjustment that’s manageable with some common sense though!

Love, love, love!

This is great! It’s very good for learning, includes games that aren’t cheesy but actually reinforces the learning process. Good job!!

Best language app so far

I've tried probably 30 language apps, and this one vastly outperforms the rest. Very easy with a variety of exercises for different ways of learning. Not just some simple flash cards.

Excellent app

Great app. Best one for learning how to read and write Thai. I just wish there was a better way to resume your last place. Every time I open it it randomizes the lessons.

Great and free

It's definitely checking out.
